DESCRIPTION
Recursive acronym for SiMPLE Modular Programming Language and Environment. It is a programming language that is especially made for beginners and non-programmers. It is for anyone who is looking for a new way to have fun with their Windows computer.
HISTORY
Thinking that other famous languages that are existing are complicated for beginners, former Apple Computer engineers Bob Bishop and Rich Whicker decided to create an easy-to-understand programming language in 1995. They developed this language called SiMPLE.
Although it is very likely to AppleSofts' BASIC programming language and its "feel", SiMPLE was never intended to be a clone of it. Instead, it was created inspired by it. In fact, the two differ in many cases. BASIC was an interpreted language while SiMPLE compiles into an executable file and can run on computers without having it installed first. This implies that SiMPLE programs run faster. BASIC required the use of line numbers while SiMPLE did not use them. The "for-next" loop in BASIC was replaced with "do-loop" mnemonic in SiMPLE.
EXAMPLE
To run the above code, save it with .txt as the file extension and just simply drag into the SiMPLE icon as shown below. Then, just wait. :)
It is just that simple! Create/Edit -- Save -- Drop!
COMMENTS
"Kung ako yung pagtuturuin, mas gusto ko yung games meant for programming, hindi yung programming meant for games."
If I were to teach, I'd rather teach games meant for programming than programming meant for games.

"When I was looking for a programming language, I want to
look for the easiest because we're running out of time.
KPL or Kids Programming language got my attention but I
cannot find more sources. I tried other languages for kid
and I found SiMPLE. SiMPLE is simple, where kids and adults
will enjoy and have fun. Especially in our generation now,
more high tech." -Blossom
"At first, I'm not convinced that SiMPLE programming language
exists but when my group mate showed the website I'm amazed
that this really exists. As what its name says, SIMPLE. This
language is so simple to use. And I think that even
beginners on programming will enjoy this." -Raikiri
